Congrats to :iconalbonia: on his successful Kickstarter for his webcomic Rival Angels!

Speaking of great webcomics, a little while back I made a list of some great webcomics by fellow Deviants. Of course, after I had published it I kept remembering a bunch other top-notch comics that I had left off the list, so here is a second list of some more great comics from dA artists (of course I've forgotten plenty of others, so stay tuned for a third list at some point in the future....)

Johnny Saturn by :iconjohnny-saturn: is a cool superhero comic featuring a very imaginative and detailed world and engaging cast of characters, as well as Scott's excellent art.

Grrl Power by :icondavebarrack: is a clever and humorous superhero comic about a nerdy comic book store owner that gets a chance to become a superhero (of sorts) herself. Impressive art, especially the coloring!

Carciphona by :iconshilin: is an epic fantasy comic with outstanding art. It would be worth reading just to look at the gorgeous artwork, but the characters and storyline are engaging and well-written as well.

Supermassive Black Hole A* by :iconsmbhax: is a cool off-beat sci-fi comic with really unique art. It's a really intriguing concept and the excellent artwork is not to be missed.

You may be familiar with a lot of these already, but if not then check 'em out! As for me, I am going to post this, walk away from my computer and immediately remember a bunch of other comics I should have included.

Hi praise coming from you sir! Personally I think I'm a technically proficient colorist but my color theory is pretty amateurish. I need to pay more attention to colored lighting and key lighting and stuff like that.

Can I ask what you use for your weapon renders? Is that Blender or Maya or what? I need to figure out how to do that because I am no good at drawing guns.

Actually the guns you draw look pretty good to me. I just use Bryce to render my 3D objects (mainly because it's cheap and easy to use). Some of the weapons I've bought off sites like DAZ3D and Renderosity, and a few I've made myself.

Whoa, $12, that's not bad. Normally when people say 3D software is cheap they mean it's $400 or $25/month. I'll have to check it out.

Yeah, software prices can get insane sometimes. That's why I haven't upgraded my copy of Photoshop in ages. But DAZ3d actually has several good programs that are really cheap or even free.
